INdustrial site recovery Act (ISRA)

ISRA requires owners of facilities with specific industrial classifications to investigate and remediate prior to property transfers when the business ceases operations or is sold.  Facilities with certain North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes are subject to ISRA.

Who Must Comply with ISRA?

Any person who owns the industrial establishment, owns the real property of an industrial establishment or is the operator of the industrial establishment must comply with ISRA.
