Lead Inspection Service

What Is Lead Inspection and Risk Assessment?

Lead Inspection: This involves a thorough examination of surfaces in a building to determine if lead-based paint is present. It helps
identify potential sources of exposure.

Lead Risk Assessment: Beyond just detecting lead, risk assessment investigates severity, type, and specific locations of lead
hazards.

Why Is Lead Testing Important?

Lead, especially lead-based paint, is common in houses built before 1978. Exposure to lead can have serious health consequences, especially
for young children and immunocompromised individuals. If your home was built before 1978, if the paint is deteriorating, or if you’re planning renovations, lead testing is crucial.

When Should You Have Your Home Inspected for Lead?

Consider lead inspection if your home was constructed before 1978, if you’re experiencing lead poisoning symptoms, or if you’re planning
renovations. Children under 6 years old are particularly vulnerable to lead exposure, which can cause irreversible damage to their development.

Who Should Perform Lead Inspection and Risk Assessment?

It’s highly recommended to hire a certified lead inspector and risk assessor. They’ll ensure accurate results and guide you toward making
your home lead-free.

How Long Does a Lead Inspection Take?

The duration varies based on the size of your home and the complexity of the inspection. Typically, it can take a few hours.
