Conducted a site investigation involving soil borings and sample analysis for perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAAs). The investigation focused on an area of concern related to an existing septic system. Groundwater monitoring was also carried out, and based on the findings, excavation and disposal of soil from the septic field area to address contamination was performed. Ongoing remediation efforts are underway, and a Remedial Action Report is being prepared for this project.
Provided environmental project management services at retail gasoline distribution locations across New Jersey following the issuance of multiple Remedial Action Outcomes. The work involved various site activities, including the use of ground penetrating radar, exploration, and annual groundwater sampling. ENVOCARE prepares Biennial Certifications for the site, pursuant to the guidance outlined in N.J.A.C. 7:26E-8.4 by the NJDEP.
Managed the investigation and remediation of various redevelopment sites across New Jersey. Project activities have included construction oversight, public notification, and reporting. This work supports property owners in redeveloping and transforming underutilized or vacant properties into modern buildings that accommodate both residential and commercial uses. These efforts have contributed to local job creation, provided affordable housing for moderate-income families, and improved infrastructure for ongoing beneficial use. Key activities within these redevelopment projects have included Phase I Preliminary Assessments, soil and/or groundwater investigations, issuance of deed notices, and the establishment of Classification Exception Areas (CEAs), which then prompts a Soil Remedial Action Permit and biennial certification.
Oversaw the investigation and remediation of various industrial and commercial sites. The project involved site assessments, environmental monitoring, and regulatory reporting. The goal was to assist property owners in revitalizing underused or vacant land into functional spaces for mixed-use developments, including both commercial and residential units with the intention to upgrade essential infrastructure to benefit the community long-term. Major activities included environmental site assessments, soil and groundwater sampling, regulatory filings, and the creation of site-specific remediation plans, leading to necessary permits and ongoing environmental monitoring.
Conducted a groundwater investigation at a former manufacturing facility, focusing on chlorinated solvents as the primary contaminants, which required the use of various remediation techniques. The project included activities such as groundwater monitoring well installation, quarterly monitoring and sampling, and test pit investigations. The team managed soil excavation and disposal and provided oversight for multiple events. Other responsibilities included evaluating in-situ remediation, obtaining stormwater permits, issuing public notifications, overseeing health and safety protocols, and negotiating offsite access agreements.
Provided comprehensive environmental project management services to a retail gasoline distribution site. Responsibilities included utilizing ground-penetrating radar (GPR), investigating and delineating subsurface contamination through test pit and soil boring investigations, and overseeing the removal of petroleum underground storage tanks (USTs). Additional activities involved groundwater monitoring, chemical treatment of groundwater, excavation of contaminated soil, and coordinating proper waste disposal. ENVOCARE also prepared detailed Site Investigation and Remedial Investigation reports, incorporating receptor evaluations, public notifications, and order of magnitude cost evaluations.
Implemented a Remedial Action Workplan and an approved Health and Safety Plan at a large industrial site situated within a major petroleum refining facility. The project involved managing the excavation of over 2,000 tons of petroleum-contaminated soil, the installation of containment systems, dewatering processes, free-phase petroleum recovery, excavation lining, and backfilling. Additionally, the team continuously ensures compliance and proper disposal through waste classification sampling and successfully obtains remediation-in-progress waivers while delivering thorough project reporting. ENVOCARE also conducts biennial certifications for the site to ensure ongoing compliance.
ENVOCARE completed several plans on behalf of Weeks to comply with environmental and safety standards including a Water Quality Management Plan, Community Air Monitoring Plan, Environmental Materials Management Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Sustainability Management Plan and a Waste Management Plan. ENVOCARE is responsible for the water monitoring including pH and Turbidity levels for the Hudson River Ground Stabilization Project through the deployment of buoys in the river. Additional responsibilities include air monitoring, sustainability progress reporting, and surface water sampling.
ENVOCARE implements complex projects from concept to delivery and operation because of the good working relationships it has with its clients
